An opportunity exists for an experienced safety and training person to join our WHS & Training team based in Werris Creek. You will be accountable for coordinating, maintaining and improving safety and training activities to support the operation.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible to maintain and update the training database, identify employees’ current competencies and areas for development, and develop and maintain up-to-date training materials to meet these needs as well as assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive OH&S management systems
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and qualities:
Degree qualifications in Work Health and Safety (desirable)
Cert VI Workplace Training and Assessment (essential)
A minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of WHS legislation and statutory requirements in NSW.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and ability to act as a role model
High level oral and written communication skills, particularly in delivering information
